  • Providing travel guidance before your gorilla trekking experience.

All services are subject to availability, applicable regulations, and confirmation from the relevant authorities or service providers.

3. Booking Enquiries and Confirmation

Submitting a booking enquiry through our website does not constitute a confirmed reservation.

After receiving your enquiry, we will review your request, check availability where applicable, and communicate the available options.

A booking is considered confirmed only when:

  1. The requested service or permit availability has been verified.
  2. You have accepted the applicable quotation and booking terms.
  3. Any required payment has been received and verified.
  4. We have issued written confirmation of your booking.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee permit availability or reserve a trekking date.

We recommend booking well in advance, particularly during peak travel seasons.

4. Permit Availability and Pricing

Gorilla trekking and habituation permits are issued and regulated by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Permit availability is limited and may change without notice.

Prices displayed on our website are provided for general information and may be updated to reflect changes in official tariffs, applicable taxes, or service arrangements.

Your quotation will identify the applicable permit cost and any additional services or charges.

The final amount payable will be communicated before you confirm your booking.

5. Payments

Payment instructions will be provided after your booking request has been reviewed and the relevant availability has been confirmed.

Depending on the service requested, full or partial payment may be required before a reservation can be completed.

We will communicate the payment amount, accepted payment method, currency, and applicable deadlines before requesting payment.

Any bank charges, currency conversion fees, or transaction costs will be disclosed where applicable.

Please use only the official payment details provided through our verified business communication channels.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the type of service booked and the applicable policies of the relevant authorities or suppliers.

Gorilla Trekking and Habituation Permits

Gorilla trekking and habituation permits are subject to Uganda Wildlife Authority cancellation and refund regulations.

Refund eligibility may depend on the reason for cancellation, the applicable official policy, and whether the issuing authority approves the request.

Any refund approved by the issuing authority will be handled in accordance with the applicable conditions.

We will explain the relevant cancellation terms and any separate administrative or service charges before confirming your booking.

Safari and Travel Arrangements

Accommodation, transport, and other travel services may be subject to separate cancellation policies established by their respective providers.

The applicable cancellation terms will be communicated before your booking is finalised.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, the amount and processing period will depend on the relevant supplier, original payment method, and any lawful deductions disclosed in your booking agreement.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any cancellation or refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change travel dates, permit categories, or other booking details must be submitted as early as possible.

Changes are subject to availability, applicable regulations, and approval by the relevant issuing authority or service provider.

Additional charges may apply where permitted under the applicable booking conditions.

We cannot guarantee that changes will be approved once a permit or service has been confirmed.

8. Traveller Responsibilities

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that the information provided during the booking process is accurate and complete.

You are also responsible for:

  • Holding valid travel documents.
  • Obtaining any required visa or entry authorisation.
  • Meeting applicable health and immigration requirements.
  • Following national park rules and ranger instructions.
  • Arriving at the designated meeting point on time.
  • Ensuring that you are physically prepared for your selected activity.
  • Obtaining suitable travel and medical insurance.

We are not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate traveller information or failure to meet applicable travel requirements, except where caused by our own breach of legal obligations.

9. Gorilla Trekking Regulations

Gorilla trekking and habituation experiences are conducted under the regulations established by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

Participants must comply with the instructions of park officials and authorised guides.

These instructions may concern minimum age requirements, group sizes, appropriate conduct, health precautions, wildlife viewing distances, and permitted time with the gorillas.

Participation may be refused or restricted where required by official park regulations, including where a visitor presents a health risk to wildlife.

Wildlife sightings occur in natural environments and cannot be guaranteed.

10. Trekking Gear and Product Enquiries

Our website may display trekking gear and accessories, including hiking sticks, trekking gaiters, hiking boots, and hiking socks.

Product information, images, descriptions, and displayed prices are provided for general guidance.

Submitting a product enquiry or clicking “Request a Quote” does not constitute a purchase or guarantee product availability.

We will confirm the applicable price, availability, product specifications, payment conditions, and any delivery arrangements before an order is accepted.

Where a product is purchased, the applicable return, replacement, warranty, and refund conditions will be provided in accordance with Ugandan law.

11. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.

Suitable insurance may include coverage for medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, personal belongings, and other travel-related risks.

Insurance requirements and exclusions vary between policies. Travellers should ensure that their selected policy covers the activities they intend to undertake.

12. Health and Safety

Gorilla trekking and other wildlife activities may involve physically demanding terrain, changing weather conditions, and encounters with wild animals.

Travellers should assess their fitness and suitability for their intended activities and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary.

We provide general travel guidance, but we do not replace the advice of qualified medical professionals or authorised wildlife officials.

All participants must follow applicable safety instructions during their activities.

13. Third-Party Services

Certain services may be provided by independent third parties, including wildlife authorities, accommodation providers, transport operators, and safari partners.

These providers may have their own terms, conditions, and operational policies.

We will take reasonable care in arranging services within our agreed responsibilities. However, we do not control every aspect of independently operated services.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Changes and Unforeseen Circumstances

Travel arrangements may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures, security incidents, or changes to national park operations.

Where such circumstances affect a confirmed arrangement, we will communicate available alternatives and applicable refund or rescheduling options as soon as reasonably practicable.

Any adjustments will be handled in accordance with the applicable booking agreement, supplier policies, and relevant law.

15. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep information on our website accurate and up to date.

However, permit prices, availability, park regulations, travel requirements, and other information may change.

We are responsible for providing our agreed services with reasonable care and skill.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for losses arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from the independent actions of third parties for which we are not legally responsible.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, negligence, breach of contractual obligations, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.

If a dispute arises, we encourage customers to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter fairly and promptly.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, either party may pursue available legal or regulatory remedies under applicable law.

20. Changes to These Terms
